Homebrew Channel alleged stolen code

I’ve been hearing of the hbc having some stolen code and has archived newer hacked Wiis from downloading the channel. My current questions are…

  1. What will happen to already modded Wiis?
  2. Can you still install the Homebrew channel wad for Dolphin?
  3. Will they fix the code to make it not stolen?
  4. What about other variants of the Homebrew channel? (ex: low taper fade Homebrew channel)
  5. Should I be concerned about this developing situation at this time?
  6. Does this affect the vWii?

I just came across this and is slightly making me anxious and worried about not only my Wii but my friends and their modded Wiis.

The hbc will probably stay. Just dev of it wont continue anymore. So you can just download it normally. Ans costum wads shouldn’t be affected as their just a channel which boot the same channel as the hbc.

But I don’t know if they’ll ever make a new hbc without stolen code.

The HBC channel did not have stolen code, it was LiboGC. Nothing will happen to anything, life will go on and projects will be forked. HBC hasn’t even been updated in years.
