The following is my current setup for converting media to be compatible with the Photo Channel, if anyone else is interested. Obviously this will be superseded once the new software comes out but for now this is what I have, if anyone else might find it useful:

What I usually do is for converting music, I use Audacity (version 2.2.0, a version from before it was sold to different owners at least) and convert my audio to M4A. This does require the FFMPEG thingy, whatever it was. Also, when setting the Kbps, make sure it’s not something high like 320 or the Photo Channel won’t play it. I usually use 195 Kbps, which does degrade the quality a bit but then again, the sound is coming from speakers so it doesn’t matter too much.

As for video conversion, there’s an old software from 2008 called Wii Video 9 that, although a bit finicky, does work well enough. It claims to support YouTube downloading, but because of how much the site has changed in the last 18 years, that feature obviously broke long ago. Not that it matters anyway, because there’s other ways to do so.

I made a tutorial on how to use Wii video 9 here https://forum.wiilink.ca/t/how-to-get-videos-on-wii-photo-channel/92/11

Oh, I am right now trying to get the new backend setup,

I still don’t know, it depends how smoothly I can change backends, if it goes smoothly then possibly next week,

Btw I have started working on this again

so far the moving process as gone very smoothly, I have the photo converter fully migrated! Hopefully the video and audio converters migration goes smothly, I will keep you guys updated! :grinning:
