There’s a WiiWare version of UNO that’s been around since 2009. One of the cool things about it is that you can play online with friends, but it does require its own code (which is separate from the main one associated with the Wii console). Note that you will need the Wiimmfi patched version of the game for this to work. PM me if you require assistance in finding it (since obviously I can’t post it directly but I can point you in the right direction).
With all that out of the way, here’s my UNO friend code:
2969-5556-7634
The way of finding your friend code in-game is a little convoluted, but here’s how you do it:
- Select your profile
- Go to Multiplayer
- Select Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
- After it connects, go to Create Game
- Your friend code will be displayed at the bottom of the screen

I figured it did, maybe I’ll “buy it” and see if I like it or not. I am a huge UNO fan so the odds are in my favor. I’ll test it on Dolphin to see how much storage it takes up then I’ll put it on my actual Wii.
My code is 3442-0030-3903
Nice. I’ve added you as of writing this message. If you haven’t already you need to add me as well.
I should’ve added you already. I’ve double checked the friend code and it should work.
Do you have to use Wii Speak Gear or can you use a normal Mic?
Wii Speak isn’t required for the game to function but if you wanna talk with others then go ahead.
It might be like this for you too, but though I have you registered, it seems like your Mii doesn’t show up on the friend roster. This could mean one of two things:
- You need to try creating a game yourself so that I can join.
- Cross-platform gameplay simply isn’t supported (I’m playing on a physical Wii, but you seem to be using Dolphin. This is just conjecture but the possibility of this being a problem isn’t zero.)
I’m not using Dolphin. I was only using Dolphin to check how much storage it took up.
Okay, scratch that! We were actually just playing several rounds together! It was fun.
Also: according to the manual, mic chat can only be used with friends, and even then, all players must have a Wii Speak. I unfortunately don’t have it yet. Not only that, but we were also in quick play instead of a proper friend game.
That Uno game is so much better than the one on Switch.
I felt so bad because i thought you could still hear me cussing out at you and the NPCs. Even though my Wii speak wasn’t on.
Also, if you’re wondering, the way challenging a draw four card works is that in the game, draw four cards can only be used IF the player didn’t have any other cards they could have used. If you think that someone could’ve used a different card, then you can try and challenge it.
p.s. nikki is my number 1 opp in the game, the amount of times she screwed me over before like you saw a few times is innumerable
I always thought the challenging +4 cards were RNG. That actually helped. Usually i turn on No Bluffing in the Switch’s uno game.
Also, Kevin definitely did you dirty in that one round. The amount of times he made you draw four was insane! I felt so bad for you as someone who’s been in the same position.
Kevin is Matt in disguise.
Maybe next time I’ll try enabling the penalties option if we have the chance to play again. The way it works, as summarized by the manual, is this:
“When the previous player plays a Draw Two card or Wild Draw Four card, you can put the same card down if you have it and you will not be penalized. However, the player after you will get double the penalty. If he or she has the same card, the effect is transferred to the next player.”
As you can imagine, this makes things way more chaotic and fun. I’ve literally seen someone have to draw 18 cards in one round.
