Yes, you shall install the new wads, but to correctly update it, here’s what I suggest you to do:
- Install the Wiilink Patcher from the site
- Get the patched wads
- put everything on the SD card
- Install every channel you got from the patcher into the Wii menu by using a wad installer (I recommend yawmm)
- ensure you have the correct time. If not, use the stnp app to adjust the time (so you don’t get errors in channels like forecast and news channel)
- go to the Wii system settings and put the wiilink DNS (primary DNS 167.235.229.36 ; secondary DNS 1.1.1.1) and go to agreement/contact and accept the wiilink eula
