How-To: Wii Room Black Bar Fix

If you’re using Wii Room on a PAL console, you may face an issue where there is a black bar at the bottom of the screen, squishing the channel at the top of the display. Additionally, the audio will be distorted as the channel is running at 50Hz instead of the intended 60Hz.
Fortunately, this is easy to fix, however you will need to launch the channel through a homebrew app:

WiiFlow Lite

To fix this issue in WiiFlow, press the fifth button at the bottom of the interface until your channels are displayed. Select Wii Room, then press the settings icon. On page 1 of the settings, set the Video Mode to either NTSC (standard video cables), or Progressive (component / HDMI video cables). Then, go across to page 5, and ensure the Private Server setting is set to Off. Finally, launch the channel through WiiFlow by pressing Play. Enjoy!

USB Loader GX

To fix this issue in USB Loader GX, press the fourth button at the top of the interface, enable NAND Channels, and press OK. Then, select Wii Room (HCIJ), and choose Settings. Then, press Game Load. Set Video Mode to either Force NTSC (standard video cables), or Force NTSC480p (component / HDMI video cables). Scroll down to Private Server and set it to OFF. Press Save, return to the banner, and finally choose Start. Enjoy!
