Hmmm. That would be interesting. However, maybe for now you can just look at American news? There’s plenty of stuff happening in America, so maybe that can satisfy your urge for news. After all, Australia is pretty small, there probably isn’t a lot happening there. There are more people in the single state of Texas than the entire country of Australia, and Texas isn’t even the biggest state in the US! Imagine if there was a Texas News Channel, that would be pretty crazy.
We checked the NewsAPI as a possible substitute news provider, however the paid version is stupid expensive and it only provides headlines, not the full news story…
Thanks, that sucks. I hope you can suss out another alternative. Surely there would have to be an Australian alternative. I hate to be a bore but I also made a seperate request for a few locations to be added to the forecast channel… it would make it far more enjoyable. I was shocked how cluttered the UK map was and ours is so sparse even though there are many towns around. I know its a time consuming process but if you could look at it I would be eternally greatful.
I am not replying directly to the poster above, that is so insulting… only 13th biggest economy in the world but apparently not a lot happening here 
We are currently working on rewriting the old News Channel code, in fact we’re now at the phase of looking for news providers, so we will also be looking at Australian news sources! As for the forecast channel, the person in charge of that is waiting for a tool to be finished that will make the addition of new locations easier
