Merry Christmas everyone!!! December is affectionally known internally as the month of WiiLink as we get the most work done, and this one is no different.
As of today, we can send announcements to all Wii’s through the message board!!! This implementation does not require you to patch IOS 80 unlike before!
To start receiving announcements, you will need to opt-in through the newest update of the WiiLink Mail Patcher. Once opted in, you can opt out through the Wii Message Board if you would like.
Announcements are downloaded through WiiConnect24, meaning it will download even while your Wii (not Wii U) is on standby. Note the Wii will check once every 24 hours for a new announcement.
NOTE: Even if you are registered with Wii Mail, you will still need to run the patcher. If you encounter error -110211, post in https://forum.wiilink.ca/t/110211-megapost and staff will delete your number for you.
