When ever I open wii room it just leads to a black screen with nothing. I waited for a while to see if it would show up but it never did. I don’t know why this happens but if anyone knows the problem or knows how to fix it please tell me.
Well, that’s probably a problem with the wad.
- Try to reinstall it by using Wiilink Patcher and then installing the single wad.
- Remove the old wad from your SD card (before you do that, remove from a wad manager, like YAWMM, the Wii Room was)
- Put the new wad → go to the wad manager → install the new Wii Room wad → see if it works
- I also recommend (before you use it) to use WW-43DB-Patcher, if you have it, otherwise just get it.
If this still doesn’t work, try again to use WW-43DB-Patcher, and if it doesn’t work, that’s a problem legated with the wad itself or with the Wii (or vWii) you have. Try also to hear a moderator that could help you to solve this problem.
Dont uninstall the channel with YAWMM it deletes save data I think, better try with data management.
No It doesn’t. The save data remains on the Wii, even if the channel is deleted
i mean with yawmm
Hi @MichaelMichele, are you using a PAL console / TV? This issue is probably caused by either the NTSC video mode, or by a messed up IOS56. If you could follow these instructions and post a SysCheck report, that would help out.
Well, guess I guessed the problem ![]()
it’s not letting me post the syscheck report
Try now, it should work.

Your IOS56 is completely missing - how bizarre!
We can use NUSGet to fix this. First, download the latest version of NUSGet - Release v1.5.0: Output Directory Improvements · NinjaCheetah/NUSGet · GitHub
Next, navigate to the vWii tab, then IOS > 0000000700000038 - IOS 56 > World, and double click on v5918.
Set your options to match the ones in this image:
Hit Start Download, and wait for it to download.
Navigate to Downloads > NUSGet Downloads > 0000000700000038 > 5918 on your computer, and copy IOS-56-v5918-vWii.wad to the WAD folder on your SD Card.
Finally, open up yawmME on your console, and install the WAD. With any luck, this should work! Feel free to ask if you want me to clarify anything.
Oops, I missed something. In NUSGet, you need to tick the Re-encrypt title using the Wii Common Key box. If you do that and redownload, then copy over the new WAD, it should work.
Sorry for the confusion!
It works now. Thank you!
Glad to hear it! Have a good rest of your day, and enjoy using Wii Room!!
