Hello.
Unfortunately, I’m not having any luck.
I received the email from WiiLink with the link to get the keys, but when I access it, it says (in Spanish), “The flow does not apply to the current user” even though I logged in correctly with my account.
I was finally able to run the Mail Patcher, entered the indicated DNS, but when I go to "Internet / “User Agreements” / “Yes,” I always get error 220602. I changed my country (Argentina) to the USA, and the same thing happens. I used the WiiLink DNS Server application, entered the DNS it indicates, but I still get the same error.
Yes, I know it’s a lot of problems, but I wouldn’t know where to start.
This is a problem (I think) legated to the DNS. Make sure to have the Wiilink EULA wad Installed and then into the DNS settings (even if you think you’ve put the right DNS) to put:
As primary DNS: 167.235.229.36
As secondary DNS: 1.1.1.1
It could also be a problem about the connection. If the problem persist, you could still try to reconfigure the connection you’re using, or to see if the connection has something that doesn’t make the Internet work.
However, this is only my point of view. Moderators surely now better what’s going on
Hello Jack & Harry, thank you for your replies.
Yes, I tried selecting automatic DNS, and then I can accept the EULA, but it’s the Nintendo EULA, not the WiiLink EULA, and the guide says: “If you do not see the WiiLink logo on the EULA, the DNS will not work on your network. If you want to enable it, you can use the DNS Server application.” That’s why I mentioned that I also tried the DNS Server Application and got the same error.
What is the Wiilink EULA wad? …it’s not mentioned in the guide. Is it the Region Select [USA] (WiiLink).wad? Because I installed that one correctly along with the rest of the wads from the guide.
There isn’t one. I assume they’re talking about the unpatched EULA WAD we provide for Wii U users as the vWii doesn’t include EULA. We do not patch the EULA WAD in any way.
Ah, okay. I’m using a Wii, not a WiiU.
When I perform a connection test with the primary DNS: 167.235.229.36 and secondary: 1.1.1.1, the console tells me that it connected successfully. But when the console tries to connect to accept the terms (the EULA), I always get error 220602.
As I said in my original comment, this error is caused by DNS (likely due to your ISP). Can you please try with DNS set to automatic and let us know how it goes? DNS is entirely optional, and only affects the EULA you see and enables Animal Crossing DLC.
Yes, I tried the automatic DNS option, and it does connect so I can accept the EULA, but it doesn’t have the WiiLink logo; it’s the 2009 Nintendo EULA. (Previously, the RiiConnect24 logo appeared in the EULA).
Currently, the Weather Channel, the News Channel, and the Everybody Votes Channel are giving me error 107305, the Check Mii Out Channel error 259900, the Nintendo Channel error 269900, and the Wii Room Channel error 354002. The Kirby TV Channel is the only one that works.
I’ve already correctly configured the date and time on my console using SNTP.
I don’t know what might have changed, or if I need to adjust something in my fiber optic router’s connection settings.
Hi Jack. That’s exactly what I did. I downloaded the .exe file that prepares the SD card with everything needed to run the new channels, and once I did that, I noticed the errors. I suspect it’s all very focused on North American users, and I’m from Argentina.
I can assure you that none of this happened to me back in the RiiConnect24 days.
Hi MegaMarcos, btw, I’m currently having the same issue with the WiiLink EULA on my original PAL Wii (4.3E), except that unlike yours, I get an error code 221000 after a long loading time. I’m no expert, but maybe it’s related to what’s happening on the WiiLink status site right now, isn’t it…? (https://status.wiilink.ca/)
Hi Dmitry. Thanks for your reply. I went to the link you posted. Are you referring to the “Partially Degraded Service” thing? Because all the bars are showing as “Operational” in green.
Yeah, MegaMarcos, that’s exactly what I mean, because about a week ago or so, as far as I remember, probably all the items were showing as “Operational”, and now, no offense, but I don’t know what exactly happened there that now shows “Partially Degraded Service” (There especially, if you scroll down, it now shows that something happened with the Cloudflare Turnstile service that for some reason it shows “Degraded Performance” instead of “Operational”), I have no idea if this is how it should be or not…?
Yeah, WiiWare, I forgot to tell you that yesterday evening I tried to change the DNS on my Wii to Automatic (as you advised), the original Nintendo EULA from 2007 (or whatever it was, I don’t remember…) surprisingly works, but the problem I had after that was when I, for example, want to go to the Homebrew Browser through the Homebrew Channel (to check for updates to my installed Homebrew apps, and maybe install some other useful Homebrew apps for free), first in the Command Prompt (or whatever it’s called on the black background with white text…) when I launch HBB, after initializing the network, for some reason I get some error with the code “-6”, and for some reason this message was constantly repeating endlessly with the word: “Retrying” right up until the moment I exited the Homebrew Browser (I downloaded the Homebrew Browser itself from the Open Shop Channel, if you ask me), idk, is it just me personally who has such problems, or did you also have something similar at some point, was it, WiiWare? Just curious🤔
